Viñedos de Paganos
Viñedos de Paganos is located amongst sites of archeological interest, such as dolmens, hermitages and medieval churches. The winery is carved out of the rock, beneath its own vineyards and is set up to make great wines that represent the personality of the soil and reflect the grape varieties.
The vineyards are planted on a south facing slope with Tempranillo vines that are on average 35 years old. The vineyard is managed by hand and the yield is limited to optimise the health and ripeness of the grapes at the time of harvest.

Viñedos de Paganos is located in Paganos, Rioja Alavesa. The winery incorporates the offices, wine making hall and warehouse which were built with stone that was excavated from the same piece of land. The underground part of the winery where the wine is aged was excavated below the “El Puntido” vineyard.
The “El Puntido” and “La Nieta” Tempranillo vineyards give their names to the wines. The vineyards are managed and harvested by hand and the grapes are selected and destemmed also by hand before they are trodden in the traditional way. The skins are macerated with their juice before and after the fermentation.
