Bodegas Abel Mendoza
In 1988 Abel Mendoza and his wife Maite Fernández founded the winery in the municipality of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alta. His early years were focused on making young wine. Later they focused on developing a range of wines with different varieties recovered characteristic of La Rioja. The entire range of wines is recognized by experts around the world as being of high quality.
Bodegas Abel Mendoza has 18 hectares of its own vineyards north of the Ebro River and under the Sierra Cantabria in the municipalities of Ábalos, Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra, mainly made of Tempranillo grapes.
The Harvest is carefully done by hand and selecting the collected fruits. The grapes go to a selection table in a process that guarantees the high quality of their wines.
