Bodegas Tobía
Bodegas Tobia was founded in 1994 when Óscar Tobía, who comes from a family of vine growers in San Asensio and Ana Castelló. They decided jointly to recuperate the old family winery that used to make young wines. A new winery was built so that they could continue with the family tradition and also innovate with new projects. Óscar Tobía based the whole project around his passion to make high quality Rioja wines and his love and respect for the soil.
Bodegas Tobia makes its wines from different vineyards which are located in 15 different villages which are located within the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. They have selected vineyards with low yields, specific soils and climatic conditions in order to obtain grapes to make top quality wines.

The winery is located in Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón, Rioja Alta. The offices, the shop, the Tasting Room and dining room are all located in the main building. There is a large wine making hall, barrel room and warehouse. The winery has continuously reinvested money which has enabled them to own a modern wine making facility to make their high quality Rioja wines.
