We at ILOVEWINE and Bodegas Gil Berzal, the makers of Bajo 0 Ice Wine want to offer you a unique opportunity.
Bodegas Gil Berzal made the first all-natural ice wine from its own vineyards in Rioja Alavesa and received the Rioja Denomination of Origin approval.
Participate in the nocturnal grape harvest which is done by hand and discover the vineyard and get to know the family, the owners and winemakers from Bodegas Gil Berzal.
Join us and come and pick the grapes with which this special Riojan wine is made.
Bodegas Gil Berzal's Bajo 0 Ice Wine is the only wine in the world in its category which is certified by the Rioja Denomination of Origin. The wine is made from grapes grown with Sustainable Viticulture Environment practices.
It is a totally natural and healthy Riojan wine.
Prepare warm clothes because you'll need them.
The whole of the nocturnal harvest for the Bajo 0 Ice Wine and the pressing of the grapes is carried out at temperatures below 0.
After picking grapes by hand for about an hour we'll head back to Bodegas Gil Berzal to press the grapes and taste the first grape juice.
Whilst the grapes are being pressed we'll enjoy a hearty meal inside the Berzal Gil family “Txoko” accompanied by a wine tasting of all their Riojan wines.
The Bajo 0 Ice Wine harvest will take place on a Saturday in December (to be determined).
